About Ryan Branch
Hi! I'm Ryan Branch, a software engineer and scientific researcher from Michigan.
My hobbies include programming, 3D printing, electronics. I have a wide variety of software interests including simulations, computer vision, cryptography, smart contracts, procedural generation, and digital art.
Undergraduate Education
I attended the University of Michigan College of Engineering from September 2014 to April 2018.
During this time I participated heavily in scientific research, which you can read about here.
In April of 2018 I graduated with a B.S.E. in Chemical Engineering and a minor in Computer Science. Further educational details, including a list of coursework, are available here.
Employment
Most recently I have been a Product Engineer for Photon Semantics, a computer vision startup from Ann Arbor, MI which I co-founded in 2017 along with several other researchers and professors.
In this project I served as the technical lead and carried out a wide variety of R&D and engineering functions. Partnering with a global leader in the autonomous robotics industry, I developed both hardware and software for cutting-edge computer vision technologies with novel capabilities.
Prior to that, for two years I was an Automation & Controls Engineer at Eli Lilly, specializing in creation and deployment of computer systems for production monitoring and software control in pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
